Boozhoo!
My name is Lindsey Willow Smith. I am an Ojibwekwe (Ojibwe woman) from Michigan, citizen of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.Â
My research is on Native American history of the 20th century, with a national as well as Anishinaabe tribally-focused perspective. I am trained as a History scholar who uses interdisciplinary methodologies, specifically sociological, feminist, and Indigenous methods. I am interested in understanding the role of society in identity formation, especially concerning how digital platforms influence how people view themselves. Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in History at the University of Minnesota with expected completion in 2029.
